This was the second Medal competition of the month, not to everyone's liking but the pain was eased by playing off the yellow tees. In spite of this and the beautiful weather there were no sub par rounds.

In the Ladies division familiar names popped up to take the two prizes available.

Nuala Hare was first with a net 73, managing to cope with her new handicap. In second place was Liz Bamforth with a net 75

In the Men's division the results were;-

1st     Andrew Markham          net 73

2nd    Mark Davies                  net 74

3rd    Grenville Bamforth          net  75

 Three "two's" were recorded, all of them coming from the same playing group.

Thursday 27th May

A Stableford competition organised by Sandra Edwards in teams of three with all three scores to count, no room for light weights.  Maxine Mayhew caused some amusement when she finished off her drive on the first tee with a nice follow through but failed to hang onto the club, it finished up in the pond.

The results were:-

1st     Maxine Mayhew, Grenville Bamforth and Brian Couper        105 points

2nd    Brian Mayhew, Geoff Owen and Geoff P. (guest)                  100 points

3rd    Sandra Edwards, Bill Gill and Frank Varey                                85 points
